On the quest to self heal my stomach problems I have trailed the shelves of my local health food store and tried so many natural remedies, some have helped and some have magnified my symptoms but I’m convinced my remedy is out there somewhere.

A few weeks ago I had my annual check up with the dentist and he told me I had an infection above an old root canal, apparently this is very common.

With my fear of medicine and the side effects it gives me, I refused a course of antibiotics and headed to my favourite North London health store Planet Organic.

I asked for the strongest natural antibiotic they had and £30 later I left with a bottle of Olive leaf extract.

Week 1 the pain felt ten fold but I continued with the olive leaf as I had read that at first it will heighten symptoms, as the days went on I thought less and less of the pain and by the end of week two I was back to normal teeth feeling fantastic.

Research shows that Olive leaf is a much looked over Mediterranean remedy and in fact we could all benefit from adding this to our daily diet.

There are many benefits we can get from taking a supplement of olive leaf extract. It holds anti-inflammatory benefits, anti viral benefits and can help fight against allergens.
