Wanting to embark on my new year and get 2016 off to a positive start I decided that the January blues were a No No and hoped to make it through what can be a gloomy month happy and content.
I’m pleased to say that my first task of the year has gone to plan and I’ve hit the ground running without a blue January moment in sight!
I’ve been back to work and presenting some fab fashion pieces all at Savvy shoppers prices and as always loving the unpredictability of being on live television.
So with the workbox ticked I knew that January had to be about new beginnings
Being obsessed with fitness I decided I wanted to shake things up a little and add some new workouts to my weekly plan.
I’ve always found yoga relaxing but normally find myself clock watching, however with a hectic lifestyle and being an adrenaline junky I’ve know for years that Yoga at some time had to become part of my life.
So I signed up to a 20-day Hot yoga plan, and it has really changed my outlook on something that I found slightly boring.
The heat gives me the adrenaline rush that I crave and its fast passed and leaves you feeling like you have been through some kind of yoga boot camp, that combined with a 7K to start the day has become my new obsession.
Boxing has also become something that everyone who is anyone has taken up so I thought id throw myself out of my comfort zone and give this a go to, It uses every muscle and the concentration that goes with it is next to none.
New fitness craze ticked, I moved onto nutrition.
Whilst on a film last year with my son I completed a nutritional course and love the way food has been able to start to cure what had been a long battle with IBS.
Starting everyday with protein is a must, but not always being able to face eggs I have added wellco nourishing protein to my breakfast menu and not only does it kick start the system it leaves you feeling energised and the body clean for the rest of the day.
Eating Vegan for January has also really proved a positive way to live and many of my stomach problems have been relieved from this combination of living.
January done, what’s the next craze to add to Februarys list.
