At 81 years old my father is not only still taking daily exercise but also still working as a Property developer, something he has worked at well for the past 50 years.

He is still as competitive as he was as a younger man and still full of hunger for a fun filled life.

Back in my girl band years with Madasun we lived a crazy fast passed existence and I didn’t see my family for months on end, so they would travel to see me, Sweden, Italy where ever I was they would come and visit.

It was at a show at the London Hippodrome where I found out after the gig that my father hadn’t watched any of it, as he had been caught up in a group of tourists thinking he was Charlton Heston and instead of saying he wasn’t, he signed autographs for the length of my gig!!!

He is the double of Charlton ,very handsome and very charismatic.

He has always frowned upon show business, my mother a ballerina for Saddlers wells, myself ex singer turned presenter and my sister a successful actress, he has wanted us all to get sensible jobs, so its to my amazement that he has jumped at the chance to cast alongside myself and two sons for a stills campaign.

He has been groomed and choosing outfits for days, asking if I think this may be the start of his casting life.

Not only has this opportunity given him a new lease for life, he has grabbed the chance full force and embracing the fun of something different.

I think he not only is leaving a tremendous legacy but I want to take from him that what ever your age, embrace life to the full, exercise as much as you can and seize the day!
