I started having problems when drinking wine a year or so ago, again the dreaded stomach problems I suffer.
It seemed every time I had a glass my stomach would bloat and become painful and this would last a day or so.
So in the end after trying many different wines I gave up and changed my tipple to a G & T.
The clearer the drink the less it effects the stomach.
They say wine effects sensitive stomachs due to the tannings and also the amounts of sulphate it contains.
So it was purely by chance that at my favourite Crouch End restaurant Bistro AIX

the waitress suggested that I tried a natural wine after I explained why I wasn’t ordering wine with my meal.
She explained to me that Natural wine is as near to the pure grape as you can get and that it contains little to no sulphate!
Two glasses later and I felt fine the wine was delish and My stomach felt totally normal.
After a fab meal and the hope that I could enjoy the odd glass of wine again with friends we went home and researched natural wines, it turns out that Planet Organic sell natural wine from a barrel and you re fill your eco bottle as and when is required.
Strictly speaking natural wines are produced without adding or removing anything during the winemaking.
All natural wines are farmed organically at a minimum and many growers are biodynamic in their vineyards’ as well.
